Windows XP - Prompt

Hi, When I am trying to open the Activewidget Grid in Windows XP, I get a prompt saying "Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click her for options"

I thought Active widget doesn't use any Activex Controls.. Is it a wrong assumption.

Please help me on this...

Thx in advance
Murthy.

This prompt is not only triggered for ActiveX controls, but in a lot of other cases also!!!

Check msdn!!!

It's a Service Pack 2 issue. THere is a new setting in IE that you have to turn off to make the message go away. I think the setting is "Allow Active Scripting" or something like that.

Sounds like you are trying to open the .htm file directly instead of browsing from a web server. When you open a file directly from your hard drive, it doesn't run script unless you tell it to via that prompt. Place the file on your local web server, and browse it, and I'll bet it goes away.
