Firefox 1.5: Missing vertical scrollbar when no horizontal overflow

I keep on searching on this forum about this and I have tired all the workarounds regarding scrollbars, but it still persist.

You can see it for yourself. If you are using Firefox 1.5, search any simple grid demo around here with both overflows horizontally and vertically. Try to resize and shrink the columns of the grids until the horizontal scrollbar disappears, you will notice the vertical scrollbar will also disappear.

I think the lower versions of Firefox is fine with this since I never encountered this before.

Any workaround? Thanks!

Sorry for the typo, I have tried all the workarounds regarding scrollbars, but it still persist. I'm using 1.0.2 GPL maintenance release. I dunno if this also happens in V2.

I also noticed that FF1.5 is rather getting slow when the grid have 100 rows x 15 columns compared to FF1.0.7.

I cannot reproduce this problem with 1.0.2 - in all standard examples which I tried the scrollbars work ok with FF 1.5 on WinXP (Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5). Are you sure you see this behavior with standard examples in 1.0.2?

You can produce this from your home page simple resize the columns so they don't require a horizontal scroll bar any more. or is this site using older code?

Tested with:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5

Yes, in my application now, I'm using 1.0.2, and still this bug persist. The harizontal scrollbar is missing even though there is an overflow on it. It only appears if both vertical and harizontal have overflows. Really, FireFox 1.5 is a headache... :c(

Ah well, I already solved it. It was my mistake. I updated the grid.js file but I didn't update the css files. But then again, the examples here should also be updated since it will be a bad impression for first time users especially those who always use FireFox.

FireFox really is a headache for developers, not only for the grid here. You can even notice that it consumes too much memory, much like a memory leak. Anyways, thanks!
