Single header spanning multiple columns

Is there a way to set up a single column header to span multiple columns of data?

Thanx for reply but i think i am not able to clear my query to you,
i want to give single header for two columns.
e.g.

Name --- this is header
--------------------------
Mittal | Kamal -- this is data of cells
