urgent!....i want to make a cell in the row uneditable. how?

I am in urgent need of making a particular cell uneditable in a row(which is editable before)and i tried the same with "obj.setCellEditable(false,col,row)" but it is not working fine with me.So suggest me any other solution..plz...
