Input in grid not working

I need some of my cells within the grid to had an input text box.
I am putting the text box in my data array as an AW.INPUT
It shows in the grid however it will not let me change it. When I click inside it does nothing.

What is the proper way to insert an input text box into a grid cell via the data array?

Also I on an external save I have I need to pull data from that cell. Can I set a name on the input text? I am asking this because we are using Spring Framework.

AW.UI.Input control will not work inside grid cells - try using normal html <input> tags or just use editable grid cells.
