deleteRow() is to slow

Hi

I use deleteRow to collapse my grouped grid this.deleteRow(row[i]);, but when there are many records it becomes very slow, I'm testing with 2000 records and it takes about 15 seconds making the deleteRow to hide the records, how can I get delete go faster?
