Keeping scrolled location when sorting

Here's the problem, I scroll to the right and then click a column to sort the data. The grid repaints and redisplays left justified again so that I have to scroll to the right to get back to where I was.

Would it be possible to keep the scrolled location during sorts?

Are there any known workarounds for the above issue?
