Fill grid with mysql data

Is there any document that explains how to link the grid version 2.0 to a back-end server running php/mysql? I think many people here (including me) needs to do that but reading so many independent posts is time consuming.

I have searched the forums but see much more info about version 1 in this area.

Please, help me in this, I'm stuck!!

There is no difference between v 1.0 and 2.0 in how you pull data out of MySQL and format it into javascript array. But still, here is an example -

Of course, you'll probably have to generate much part of the js itself using PHP (provided you want to tweak any of the attributes, and so on...).
