store combo box values in a table

Hi everyone,


I ve two values which will be loaded into combo box manually. values are active & inactive. If the user selects active from the combo box then database value should be modified as A and if the user selects Inactive from the combo box then the database value should be modified as I.


can u please let me know the procedure
