MouseUp doesn't work in IE

I am now able to drag and drop from one grid to another. It works like a charm in Mozilla. But in IE, the mouseup event doesnot work when I release the mouse outside the grid where the mouse was pressed, however, if I release the mouse in a row in a different grid it works. but if the other grid is empty it won't work. Any ideas?
