difference between Template and Ui Namespace

I need to create a checkbox in a grid . What is the difference between the checkboxes in these two namespaces and how should i decide on what to select.

AW.UI namespace contains standalone controls, like button, textbox or checkbox. AW.Templates namespace contains 'templates', i.e. html parts which should be used inside other controls, like list item or grid cell.
