Getting AW is Undefined

I'm new to ActiveWidgets and have been charged with upgrading from 1.0.2 to 2.5.3 to be compatible with IE8 beta 2. Even though I've included the lines :
<link href="web/runtime/styles/xp/aw.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" ></link>
<script src="web/runtime/lib/aw.js"></script>

in my xsl doc, I still get AW is undefined when I try to instantiate any objects. Can I get some help in what I'm doing wrong?

If you get this error then aw.js script is not loaded. Either it is missing on your server or the path is not correct.
