AW status
I have deleted 'AW is dead' topic because I believe it is not (or at least not yet). Unfortunately I had to do other things for the last 3 months and there wasn't much progress with the new AW release. I am expecting the work to resume now the normal way.

This is fantastic news AW is a fantastic product that is the basis for a huge amount of development that we have completed so far and expect to complete more.. Keep it up Alex..

Will mobile o.s. be supported in the new release?
I think with the new, and bigger, screen sizes win32 look makes sense on mobile devices.
Keep it up Alex..

I would like to add my support to the idea of making the grid work on mobile devices. I have begun playing with the grid on a test page viewed with my iPad - and i believe we are closer than I initially thought to making it work. The Scroll template is the biggest issue. Other events related to mouse and keyboard need to be tweaked.
I'm sure there are AW users more equiped than i am to expose all the issues - but i believe it can be done.

Hi Alex,
Could you give us a hint whether version 3 will run on mobile devices?

First, I have to admit that I was wrong regarding the importance of the mobile device support. My current view is that supporting smartphones and tablets is a very important feature ('must have') and I am working on both 3.0 and current 2.x branch to enable mobile support.
For the current 2.x branch the plan is to enable the current code to work on iPad (with existing desktop themes).
For 3.0 I am thinking on building a dedicated mobile theme/package, but this is still too early to go into details.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the update Alex and please keep up the good work! This would be hugely advantageous to the Activewidgets library and the products that we are developing using your platform, so if you can give an idea of when expect to realise it, we would be very grateful??? :)

I am VERY excited for 2.6.
I love the grid thats being made from my CSV file and outside of iOS support, its perfect.
I tried the above example and it works great on my iPhone 4. Outside of column resizing, but thats pretty difficult to actually do if it was an option :)
