combox box object

can any one help me how to pass the below mentioned object in the combo box via obj.setItemText();

since it is not working with var myData=eval(data);

data=[{country:"America"},{country:"Australia"},{country:"Antartica"},{country:"China"},{country:"Atlanta"},{country:"SouthAfrica"},{country:"Holland"},{country:"Germany"},{country:"Brazil"}]
