Selected row does not change color in IE

When I click on any row, the background color stays the same despite the row still being selected functionally.

Upon inspection, I found out it's because the class "aw-rows-selected" was never added to the selected span in IE. But in Chrome, that class is present when a row is clicked.

If anybody knows how to tackle this, your help would be greatly appreciated.
