Unable to open

I went into a web site and clicked on to see a method of meditation, however, the page came up with the "javascript" logo in the bottom toolbar
but did not allow me to go in any further. I have recently switched from Internet explorer to Firefox for security reasons. Could this be the reason and what can I do to open javascript so as I can get into the website!!

You can add the site to "Allowed sites" under Tools -> Options -> Features -> and on the left of "Block Popup Windows" there is a button with the text "Allowed sites". Add the URL of the page you were visiting and it should work.
