hide data in listbox

Hello,
I have a little program in VB and I have a listbox that has like an customerID and the name. I want to select on the name but save the ID in a txt file. Because of all sorts of reasons I have to start the listbox with the ID, but is there a way to hide the first X charachters or to right-align the box?
