Outlook Calender

I want to duplicate MS Outlook Calender. Is it possible? For example, hilight (drag mouse) from a1 to a5, right click, "New Appointment", then a <div> lays on top of a1 - a5?

any ideas on how this can be accomplished?

One of the problems that I can see using this grid for an Outlook solution is that each cell has the overflow hidden. So you couldn't have an appt that spanned two cells unless you split it into multiple "sub" appts for each cell it needs to occupy.

Just my first thought on this subject.

I too am trying to do an online calendaring app so I've thought about this too.
Tell me differently if I'm flat out wrong.... :)

Building that level of web-based calendaring would be extremly valuable.

If you are successfull in creating a proto-type, I would be interested in working with you, or on a project that would provide that high level of web-based calendaring.
