link column and multiple selection

Hi,
I have an XML grid, one of the columns is a link, my problem is that when I try to select multiple rows on the link column by pressing SHIFT the grid opens the link as if I clicked on that cell only....causing an error...
Any ideas? Is the explanation clear enough?
