ActiveWidgets causes Google Maps API to jam up the entire browsing in Firefox

I can have both running independently without any issues. However as soon as I include the grid.js file, if I try moving the map within Google Maps it jams up Mozilla and I have to kill the browser. In IE it'll work a little bit but the browser always looks like it is thinking.

Is there a known compatibility issue between the two?
