Handle Files from Client

Hi,

It is possbile to handle the Client Desktop Files?

It would be nice, to select multiple Files from c:\***
and POST this to an upload script. Is there an extension?

M$ has an ActiveX object that will allow you to do it but browsers have this DISABLED by default for the obvious reasons. The current W3C spec does not allow the browser code access to the local hard drive. M$ is trying to change that. I for one think it's a very bad idea, browser software should not have access to the local files except via an <INPUT type="FILE" tag.
