Progress on allowing data to be edited?

Has there been any development on the ability to edit the data, and return it to the data structure from whence it came?

This looks to be exactly what I need for a database project I'm working with, but I need to allow users the ability to edit the cells and to read back the data.

If not, does anyone have any information on similar projects that might provide this functionality?

No, the current version of the grid is read-only.
