preload images?

When viewing a remote page, like your 'list of controls' page, I'm seeing signifiacant delays when I mouseover controls that need to swap images.

Is there anyway to preload the images to avoid those delays?

Most of the controls use different parts of the same image for mouseover (not different images). Also this webserver sends cache-control headers for IE so IE should not even send if-modified-since request, but always use cached image.

If you see image swap delays on 'list of controls' page - then something is wrong. Could it be that your browser cashe is disabled or your proxy server modifies http headers?

Yep, browser cache was disabled. It works perfectly with the cache enabled.
