Looks great :) But no Accessibility.

ActiveWidgets (v 2.0 beta) looks great, but keyboard accessibility is almost zero !!!

Following are controls have been tested mainly on /ActiveWidgets/examples/skins/controls-classic-strict.htm page of [29-Nov-05] ActiveWidgets 2.0 beta3 release.

Button:
you can tab to it, but pressing enter or space bar have no effect.

Hyperlink:
you can tab to it, but pressing enter works!!! it when to the linked site.

CheckBox
you can tab to it, but pressing enter or space bar have no effect.

Input:
you can not tab to it

Combo:
you can not tab to it, but pressing up/down key works, pageup/pagedown dont work

Tab Contol
you can tab to it sometimes, once if you are in it sometimes you can use left/right arrow key works, But enter and space bar has no effect.

List Control
you can tab to it sometimes, up/down arrow works sometimes.

Checke List
you can tab to it sometimes, up/down arrow works sometimes, press spacebar sometimes checks, but dont uncheck

Tree
you can not tab to it, up/down arrow works sometimes, spacebar, enter, plus or minus has no effect

Grid and Ext Grid
you can not tab to it, up/down/left/right arrow works sometimes.

See at http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/korn/20051113 what openoffice is facing with regard to accessibility.
and http://www.wats.ca/articles/firefoxandjaws/71 on firefox

So there is lot to improve before even it to become Beta. Looks great, but it is not everything.

Hoping developer will improve accessibility of the controls as matured corporate usable product, than keeping it as a kids work.

Regards and Best Wishes

Jean,

many thanks for testing that. The keyboard navigation should be fixed in IE and Firefox 1.5 before the final release. However in all other browsers (including Firefox 1.0) implementing full keyboard navigation is nearly impossible.
